General Questions

What ages do you accept?

We accept children from Kindergarten through 8th grade (ages 5-14). Programs are divided into age-appropriate groups to ensure the best learning experience for each child.

What sports do you offer?

We offer four main sports programs: Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, and Flag Football. Each sport has multiple sessions throughout the year, including seasonal camps and year-round programs.

Where are programs held?

Programs are held at various locations throughout High Point, NC. Specific locations are listed with each program session. We use quality facilities including indoor gyms, outdoor fields, and specialized training centers.

What is your mission?

High Point Athletics is dedicated to developing young athletes through quality sports programs that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and character building. We believe in building champions both on and off the field.

Registration & Enrollment

How do I register my child?

You can register online through our registration page. Simply select your desired program, choose a session, and complete the registration form. You'll need to provide your child's information, emergency contacts, and payment details.

Can I register multiple children?

Yes! You can register multiple children in the same registration process. Simply add each child's information when completing the form. Family discounts may apply for multiple registrations.

What information do I need to register?

You'll need your child's name, date of birth, grade, medical information (allergies, conditions), emergency contact information, and payment method. You may also need to complete required forms and waivers.

Can my child try multiple sports?

Absolutely! We encourage multi-sport participation throughout the year. Many of our athletes participate in different sports during different seasons. You can register for multiple programs.

What if my child is a beginner?

We welcome all skill levels! Our programs are designed to help each child progress at their own pace. Coaches work with beginners to build fundamental skills while challenging more advanced players.

Is there a waitlist if a program is full?

Yes, if a program reaches capacity, you can join the waitlist. We'll notify you immediately if a spot becomes available. Waitlist positions are first-come, first-served.

Equipment & Requirements

Do I need to provide equipment?

Basic equipment is provided for most programs. Athletes should wear appropriate athletic clothing and footwear. Sport-specific requirements (like cleats for soccer) will be communicated before the program starts.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable athletic clothing appropriate for the sport. Closed-toe athletic shoes are required. Some programs may provide jerseys or uniforms. Avoid jewelry and ensure clothing allows for safe movement.

Do you provide uniforms?

Uniforms or jerseys are provided for most programs. Details about uniform distribution will be shared before the program begins. Uniforms are included in the program fee.

Safety & Policies

Are coaches background checked?

Yes, all our coaches undergo comprehensive background checks and are trained in youth sports safety. We maintain the highest safety standards and all staff are CPR/First Aid certified.

What is your safety policy?

Safety is our top priority. We follow strict safety protocols including proper supervision ratios, emergency action plans, first aid availability, and weather-related policies. All activities are age-appropriate and supervised.

What if my child has medical needs?

Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs during registration. Our staff is trained to accommodate various medical needs. We'll work with you to ensure your child's safety and participation.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the program starts. 50% refund until the program begins. After the program starts, refunds are prorated based on remaining sessions. Medical emergencies are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Program Details

How long are the programs?

Program length varies by sport and session type. Seasonal programs typically run 8-12 weeks, while camps may be 1-2 weeks. Year-round programs are available for some sports. Check individual program pages for specific dates.

How often do sessions meet?

Most programs meet 1-2 times per week, depending on the program type. Practice schedules are posted with each program listing. We also offer intensive camps during school breaks.

What is the coach-to-athlete ratio?

We maintain low coach-to-athlete ratios to ensure quality instruction. Typical ratios are 1:8 to 1:12, depending on the age group and program type. Smaller groups allow for more personalized attention.

Do you offer private lessons?

Private and semi-private lessons may be available depending on coach availability. Contact us to inquire about private lesson options and scheduling.

Parent Portal

What is the Parent Portal?

The Parent Portal is your online dashboard where you can manage registrations, view schedules, update medical information, make payments, and communicate with coaches. It's free and available to all registered families.

How do I access the Parent Portal?

After registering, you'll receive login credentials via email. You can also create an account anytime. Visit the Parent Portal link in the main navigation and click "Create Account" if you haven't already.

What can I do in the Parent Portal?

You can view your child's registrations, update contact and medical information, view payment history, access important forms and documents, receive notifications, and view program schedules and calendars.
